1. Gabriel Sherman, Author of “The Loudest Voice in the Room: How the Brilliant, Bombastic Roger Ailes Built Fox News” at Politics & Prose
What: Gabriel Sherman, contributing editor for New York Magazine, comes to D.C. to discuss his new expose on the inner workings of Fox News.

2. Bowling at Pinstripes D.C.
What: Georgetown is getting a new bowling alley consisting of 14 lanes and a restaurant. Roll down with a couple of friends who have spare time for some sandwiches and strikes.

3. Lord Huron comes to D.C.
What: Lord Huron, an up-and-coming band with a sound reminiscent of Fleet Foxes and My Morning Jacket, visits the 9:30 Club for a night of alternative indie folk goodness.

4. Doctor Who Happy Hour at The Black Cat
What: Watch a screening of an episode of “Doctor Who” every Friday night, accompanied by delicious drink specials.

5. The Monuments Men: Behind the History
What: See photos, documents and other memorabilia from the real-life monument men at the National Gallery of Art.

6. The Monuments Men: Art Crimes of the 20th Century with Thomas Kline
What: Thomas Kleine, an attorney who handles lawsuits about returning stolen artwork, will discuss crimes revolving around art theft and their consequences for art collectors and museums in anticipation of the upcoming release of ““The Monuments Men”:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2177771/.”

7. Sybarite5
What: Sybarite5 is a classical chamber quintet whose unique, energetic performing style is captivating audiences and winning awards around the country. They will be visiting Sixth & I Synagogue this Saturday on their national tour.

8. American Cool Curator Tour at the National Portrait Gallery
What: The National Portrait Gallery frames what defines the ideal and quintessential American Cool with an exhibition gallery featuring dozens of portraits with the likes of swave luminaries such as Miles Davis and Kurt Cobain. The gallery showcases photos taken from Annie Leibovitz to Herman Leonard.
When: Feb 8, 12 p.m.

9. Jim Norton at the D.C. Improv
What: Baudy comedian Jim Norton, a featured guest on Opie & Anthony, has a lot to say. By his own admission Norton admits he’s got a weird comedy streak, but he’s also raucously funny. With a new stand up special “American Degenerate” as well as a host of fresh material, he will be at the D.C. Improv for a special engagement.

10. B.J. Novak, Author of “One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories”
What: Actor B.J. Novak, a denizen of Dunder-Mifflin on NBC’s “The Office” for 8 seasons, has written a book of short fiction. Novak will be at Politics & Prose to discuss (and maybe perform) some of his new stories.

11. Ira Glass at the Lisner Auditorium
What: Ira Glass, host of This American Life will be on stage with Monica Bill Barnes and Anna Bass for “Three Acts, Two Dancers, One Radio Host.”

12. Richard III at the Folger Theatre
What: Robert Richmond continues his string of elaborate hits that he’s staged at the Folger Theatre. Currently being staged is his even more labyrinthe adaptation of William Shakespeare’s “Richard III” that re-designed the Folger to have an in the round formation, replicating the feeling of being at the old Globe Theatre.
When: Feb. 7- March 9
