Southside residence halls reopen

Update: 5:57 p.m.
Students are able to enter Letts, Anderson and Centennial residence halls, according to an AU Alert sent out at 5:56 p.m. The fire sprinkler system in the halls have been repaired, according to the alert.

Original Story

Anderson, Letts and Centennial residence halls were shut down due to a fire sprinkler system malfunction, AU Department of Public Safety tweeted at 4 p.m. on Feb. 28.

Repairs are currently ongoing, according to an AU Alert sent at 4:27 p.m.

According to an AU Alert sent to students at 3:52 p.m., the residence halls will likely be closed for about 90 minutes.

Public Safety tweeted that Housing and Dining was on the scene, along with public safety officials.

Housing and Dining and AU Media Relations could not be reached in time for publication.
