Eagle Rants: March 31, 2013

• Corey Howell took the time to talk with students and wants to advocate on their behalf...not on his own. He's not looking for a resume boost, and this isn't just a temporary 'stepping stone' for him...he's not a SG-insider, and he is our best chocie for SG president. VOTE FOR HIM!

• @"Pat Kelly: Your campaign staff (or you) is too stupid to Eagle Rant. When you post things back to back, it's extremely obvious that it's one of you guys. Why? Because literally no one cares about you. Stop ranting. Please." Hi. If you actually knew Pat, you would know he can't literally can't be mean to anyone. Don't accuse him of that. So please stop.

• For everyone who's freaking the heck out, Ben actually was not very involved with CAUS when it started getting more disruptive. Particularly with the pots and pans. I don't think he was even there. So regardless of any other issues you may have with him, people need to STFU about that one because its just not true. (Also, not like we've seen any evidence of Joe st. Marie's alleged financial experience in action. Experience does not equal competence).

• I think Game of Thrones offers a good model to replace future SG elections. Also, Pat Kelly wins the day for going on Eagle Rants with his real name.

• Roommates are the worst.

• @hated being in closet: good for you for being out. Personally, as a straight guy, I have no problem b/c better odds for us straight guys. One small "complaint" though. The ladies tend to assume nice guys like myself r either taken or gay. Both assumptions would be wrong. Again, nothing against gay ppl. I'm just tired of having to make clear I'm straight.

• @Upper-middle class white girl: Your problems may well be minor compared to the rest of the world, but that doesn't make them unimportant. Just try to keep perspective, and please talk to someone if you think that would help. I guarantee there are people out there who would be willing to listen. You're important and you deserve to be happy. Best wishes.

• @You're the one that's too ignorant to realize how many problems face the LGBT community. It's not easy to be a voiceless, discrete minority and a second class citizen. Check your cis-gendered privilege. Hate to break it to you, but you're living in a bubble right now. In real life, there is no "safe zone" you can go to because someone hurt your feelings by saying homosexuality is wrong. Good luck adjusting to the real world.

• Joe St. Marie is a smug jerk who will social climb at any cost. Just ask anyone who has worked with him in the eagle or been interviewed by him.

• "Who are we, if not ashes and dust" -a Skeleton in Shadburn's Proverb Closet

• You're so cute stop looking down at your phone and notice meeeeeeeee

• Vote Alex McQuade for RHA President! He's a genuinely great guy and he listens to what students have to say.

• TDR, if your menu says "salmon cakes and cobbler" then give me salmon cakes and cobbler. Where are my salmon cakes and cobbler!!!

• The library should run a service from 10 pm to 6 am where you can get motivational homework hugs in exchange for meal swipes or eaglebucks.

• I understand that you're really busy being an activist and being a great friend, but cold you please concentrate on our group project? I've sent you emails, facebook messages, text messages, met with you, and called you countless times over the past two weeks. The project is due tomorrow morning, and I still have NOTHING from you. Please get your act together so that I can get more than three hours of sleep for once.

• The Eagle is probably not posting rants on time because people will continue to come back to the site to check if they are up, therefore driving up page views....nice Editor....you have figured out how to drive up the webiste's popularity at the expense of readers.... [Editor's Note: That's a good theory, but what really happened is I forgot to post rants because I was busy playing with all the toys my mom sent me for Easter and then I was watching Game of Thrones.]

Section 202 hosts Connor Sturniolo and Gabrielle McNamee are joined by fellow Eagle staff member and phenomenal sports photographer, Josh Markowitz. Follow along as they discuss the United Football League and the benefits it provides for the world of professional football.
