• @ "Why does..white people are racist?" The unspoken racism at AU and the United States tends to be between East Asians and Southeast Asians. East Asians such as Koreans and Japanese tend to look down on SE Asians because of skin color (with SE Asians being darker in skin tone) and SE Asian nations being less economically successful. Asians generally are lumped together as a single race. In reality, SE Asians are sometimes marginalized by their East Asian peers. How come few people talk about racism in the Asian community? The discussion always seems to between whites vs. blacks.

• Anyone here ever played Katawa Shoujo? I really enjoyed that Visual Novel and recommend it to anyone who is looking for something that will make you cry. I was never interested in anime, manga, other Visual novels before, but this was something I was urged to check out. Sure, it is considered adult themed in nature, but if you keep an open mind, you will enjoy it.

• "@ I’ve only been abroad 1 day and I hate it here already." Give it time. Being in a new place (let alone a new country) is a shock to the system. One day is not enough time to judge it. I was so anxious and unhappy the first few days I was abroad last spring and wanted to go home (that may have also had something to do with British Airways rerouting my luggage..) but after I got settled in (and got my luggage), all was well!

• My dad is an a__hole. Because of this, I placed the burden of advising me/ caring about me on an older male friend of mine who is extremely busy and was under no obligation to take that on. In a moment of crisis for me, my friend did not respond to my request for advice, and I flipped out on him. He hasn't spoken to me since, and I feel lost and sad, but I'm being respectful of the fact that he doesn't have time for me. I just wish someone did.
• If you want to generalize all of Reddit to the extremely few (and rarely seen) "racists and pedophiles," as you say, then you're an idiot. It's an enormous online community, so of course there's going to be weird, controversial stuff--odds are that will always happen once something becomes a certain size. Are there not trolls on FB, or pedophiles on online chat sites? If you don't like it, don't go on.
• You know what editor, I was going to just post about how everyone should give you a break about not posting on time, "not doing your job," etc. But lately you've had some hilarious awesome comments/rebuttals, and I love them. Keep them coming please.
• To the guy with the detoxing brother. Dude I can’t express how sorry I feel for you and your family, it must be so hard. I really really hope your brother makes it through ok, and from what it sounds like he has an incredible support system. I know it’s straining, but you’ve been doing an incredible job. Except for every scholarship and club and organization that only allows blacks to enter (black scholarships, financial aid opportunities, NAACP, and even the website 'where black people meet.') Imagine if white people had a site 'where white people meet or the NAACP (Caucasian, not colored)? The NAACP would have it shut down for being racist, when really the lack of a white equivalent implies that racism still exists against whites.
