Eagle Rants: November 25, 2012

• What's a narc? And if that ranter can't ask for drugs, then how is he supposed to get them? -also curious and wanting drugs

• @"frustrated because I am a genius and you are not": apparently not genius enough to know basic 3rd grade rules of comma usage

• Homework that often does not teach me much is getting in the way of me actually learning through books and documentaries. Watch out for the irony bus

• You're cute let me touch your butt

• @Lesbian roommate. Isn't that thoughtful!? Being on the look out for your roommates love life. I hate to rush a potential relationship or friendship, but how does Thursday at 5 PM work for getting together? I was thinking somewhere neutral like outside Ward. --Les Jr.

• amazing how your family can still do that whole being awful to you during the holidays thing even while you're abroad

• @name that movie: the proposal

• @ pregnancy scare. Don't worry, you are not responsible for your unacceptable behavior and inability to make good choices! Go ahead and kill whatever it is inside of you, plus you can just pretend it was just forcible sex!

• @Pregnancy scare/terrified. Control yourself you worthless animal. Now whatever is inside of you has to suffer for your stupid choices. Do the world a favor and off yourself.

• @"Question to AU community: What does it mean to “be popular”?"... (insert flaming gay man) High School Dramaaaa!!!

• @"To the person who wants to diet." I am also fat, it is all about self control. make a decision, eat yourself into a comma or show a litte restraint in life.

• After months of reading rants I realize half the problems posted can be answered by 1) People taking more responsibility for their own actions and 2) Going out just a little on a limb to meet people. Of course this is hard but what are you going to so about it?

• Home Sucks! AU Sucks! Whinnnne whinnnnne! Shut you mout biotches.

• @" I was single. Then I gained some weight. Now I’m really single. Any suggestions as to what works (i.e. the best diet plans) for losing weight? Much appreciated!" I lost almost 20 pounds since my freshman year by lifting 4-5 days a week and running 3 or 4 miles almost every day, as well as abstaining from junk food like pizza, popcorn, fast food, etc.

• I'd seriously hope Spleadership isn't an honors "pogrom"...

• I'm just a hopeless wanderer

• @"yeah I agree b/c ace people don’t have to put up with nearly as much $hit as glbt. but asexual should still be acknowledge." Aces def get shit (threats of corrective rape, erasure, accusations of mental illness), but totally not as much as GLB people, and most certainly definitely entirely not as much as trans* people, who get the most shit, imo. But yeah, acknowledgement is super nice and makes me feel happy and accepted, which is pretty rare for my orientation. So yay. Thanks, ranter. :)

• @"I usually like to be the younger one and have my bf be the adult." Yeah, that's what I'd like to be, but I don't want to bring it up to my bf bc he's like, neeaarly completely vanilla, and ageplay is considered edgeplay, so I guess it's hardcore to even the kink community. How did you bring it up? Did you ease him into it somehow?

• @"you may want to check out the kink club/alternative lifestyles club. Hope you find what u r looking for" If you mean the College Park Kinklings, I think I am going to gather up the courage to look into their events sometime during my college career. :) If there's another kink/alternate lifestyles club, please tell me! I missed the involvement fair, so I actually have no idea about clubs on campus.

Section 202 hosts Connor Sturniolo and Gabrielle McNamee are joined by fellow Eagle staff member and phenomenal sports photographer, Josh Markowitz. Follow along as they discuss the United Football League and the benefits it provides for the world of professional football.
