A-Trak, who previously toured with Kanye West and started his own record label, will perform at AU Dec. 1 at 9:30 p.m.

DJ A-Trak will perform in Tavern Saturday

Doors open at 8:30, show starts at 9:30

The Student Government Student Union Board will be hosting DJ A-Trak on Dec. 1 in the Tavern. Doors will open at 8:30 p.m., and A-Trak will perform at 9:30 p.m. The show is free for AU students with an AU ID, and one guest is allowed.

A-Trak (born Alain Macklovitch), is a New York-based DJ that kicked off his career in 1997 after winning the DMC World DJ Championship at 15 years old.

Over his long career, the electro house artist has released a plethora of singles and EPs, and in 2004 he was picked to be Kanye West’s personal tour DJ. He also worked on West’s Grammy-winning albums “Late Registration” and “Graduation.”

In 2007, A-Trak, along with Nick Catchdubs, founded Fool’s Gold Records. The label has launched the careers of rappers Kid Cudi and Danny Brown, as well as electronic duo Duck Sauce.
