I try to bring a little context into eagle rants by suggesting that USA gender pay disparity, 3rd trimester abortion legality, drunk college date rape, and other 1st world feminist problems pale in comparison to 3rd world disease, poverty, and starvation (yet the former dominates 90% of campus political activism). You should have expected political rants in the school newspaper. I for one, happen to like the political rants. It's fun hearing different opinions than just the liberal one.

•I like to think that the reason my sister is a selfish b**** is because of how hard is was for her when my parents got divorced. But it’s been 12 years since the divorce and she is still just self-centered. I can’t take all her meanness anymore. But I’m the big sister and I feel like I have to protect her and be there for her no matter what. She has never once been supportive of me during my struggle with depression. And she constantly calls me “psycho”. Am I a bad big sister if I cut her off?

So therefore the gap is explained by the predicted future value of a women’s work hours based on statistics that most women do eventually go on to have kids. Women have babies and men do not. This isn’t sexism; it’s biology.
