• @the human rights statement does not say there is a right to gay marriage: Article 16 "Men and women of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and to found a family. They are entitled to equal rights as to marriage, during marriage and at its dissolution." While it does not say "without limitation to sexual preference," it also does not say "Only a man and a woman".

• @800 Calories a Day: It happens to me too. I eat less than 1000 calories a day, and I have been for a couple of years now. I personally think that it is due to a fluid build up. Best thing to do is stop. I personally can't, because frankly, I can't afford three meals a day. After doing this for a year my body has begun to change. I now SWEAT AMMONIA because my body can't process protein as well. STOP NOW.

• BIG/LITTLE WEEK IS THE WORST! I love that my roomie is happy, but its so unfair that I have to vacate the room till midnight every night, then get up at 4 am for work, then listen to her invite her friends over and squeal about it, and then help her clean up the mess.This makes an otherwise great group of girls seem selfish, vapid, and incapable of speaking at a normal volume. • Subtracting welfare, a child costs at least $1800 a year. The pill costs $600 a year, and contraceptives are far cheaper. So a child is at least 3 times as expensive as birth control, even after you factor in welfare and food stamps. So if the decision to have a child was truly predicated on cost, you would be seeing lower birth rates among lower income families.

• You are all comparing the protesters at the Jan Brewer event to the oppressive Nazis and the Westboro Baptist Church. The person I label a nazi and gay hater is Jan Brewer herself. We liberals are expressing our free speech. She's done a lot to oppress immigrants (legal and illegal) and the LGBT community, and we want to criticize that. I'm sure if Hugo Chávez or Fidel Castro came to speak at AU (who have done some good for their countries), the conservatives would come to protest them anyway, just based on their political beliefs. And they should.

• Just made me want to kick things, hearing her present...@800 calories: I've been doing an about 1000 calorie diet (give or take some; I'm not too strict) mixed with 2 hours of exercise 5 days a week. I've lost 27 lbs since I came to AU. What sort of exercise are you doing? How are you spacing your meals? Make sure you're drinking enough water and getting all the vitamins you need!
