Rant here!
Editor’s Note: Yeah, I forgot to post rants yestersay. I hope you all made it through the dark times.
• @"What happened?": I'm sure there are still plenty of wonderful people who go to AU; they're probably the ones out in the world doing great things, rather than sitting on their computers ranting.

• Straight women of AU: PLEASE stop complaining about how hard it is to find a nice straight guy at AU. It is NOT that hard. I am an average looking straight girl and I have not had trouble finding boyfriends or hookups (depending on what I was looking for at the time). Just put yourself out there, be friendly, and stop moping around and whining on the internet!

• I'm not really sure when the Student Government started taking Eagle Rants seriously but that happened and it's scaring me. [Editor’s Note: I don’t even take Eagle Rants seriously]
• @800 calories a day: it is dangerous to eat less than 1200 calories a day. Your metabolism might be slowing down to adjust to the shock. PLEASE don't this this! As difficult as it can be in college, it is much healthier to eat more, but quality, calories.
• Dear editors, the reason Public Safety got rid of the Police Blotter is that a bad, bad man named Tom Smith started citing it constantly at meetings about the campus plan. Don't blame Public Safety. Blame Tom Smith.
• You're taken and I'm still kind of messed up so let's be friends.
• Anyone who protested Gov. Brewer and ruined the event for the students who are actually interested in a civilized discourse should be ashamed of themselves.
• You've been howing at the moon like a slack-jawed fool and breaking every rule they can throw on, but one of these days -- it's gonna be right soon -- you'll find your legs and go. And stay gone.
• @anti-counseling center ahole: Are you saying rich people don’t have problems too? Word of advice, rich people also get depression (and at higher rates than poor or middle class people actually). Rich people also have break-ups, parents going through divorce, abusive relationships or parents, etc.

Why do you think that rape is more standard and/or tolerable than that?” Sexual urges are natural, and when drunk one is less likely to sense that the other person isn’t comfortable with the advances. Murder is not a natural biological urge.

Check the "saturated fat" section of the labels of all the food you eat. The lower the number the better. And try not to eat anything with saturated fat content above 10% daily value.

That's they then sign up for food stamps and welfare in order to pay for the kids they can't afford because the government did not provide birth control. Try and keep up.
• I for one am very thankful that AU has a FREE and well-staffed counseling center available. My therapist was wonderful and helped me get through a really difficult time in my life without me having to burden my friends with something way beyond their scope of help. Why would anyone put down a helpful service that can improve and even save lives. Unbelievable.
• To the person who wrote "Dream Big!" on the bottom of the TDR cup I was drinking out of today- thank you! I needed the pick me up! :)

We hope this relieves some of the concern surrounding birth control at the health center.” This is simply not true. If the health center says they are not forcing girls to get pap smears before giving birth control prescriptions, then please have them write this policy on their website so that girls can site the source prove that pap smears are not required.

• I can't believe we couldnt have one republican event without a protest. I am an independent and the pressure to agree with everything democrats say is overwhelming, it's hard to have create my own opinion. That's all.

• A few weeks ago you ranted that you wanted friends who are interested in working out, the military, and not getting excessively drunk. We invited you to Ward Lobby on Sunday, but we never saw you :(. We're still curious about who you are, so if you see this, meet us in Ward Lobby at 1pm this Sunday. We'll be putting together care packages and working out a PT schedule for next week. I have glasses and a shaved head, and I'll be wearing a grey Nike hoodie. We're a military oriented social/training/philanthropy club, and all are welcome.
• I'm tired of the people who are always using the lounge or the tv or the kitchen or any other service which AU provides telling me I can't because they're using it. I pay through the nose to have access to all of those things, and I have just as much right to use them as everyone else.
• @ Founder's Day Tickets: Oh okay, well thanks anyway. I hope you have fun at the ball (at the very least it'll be a good excuse to get dressed up and take some prom throw-back pics)
• I am very disappointed in those students that shouted over the Arizona governor. You have the right to protest and you have the right to be heard, but your actions were completely childish. By screaming over her words, you made yourselves no better than those Westboro Baptist Church protesters who scream over liberal speakers. I am a democrat and I believe in protest, but I am ashamed at your actions and you should also be ashamed.

• Obviously, we liberals are always correct in manners of social and economic decisions. There is NO other option or opinion in the world that could be true or right for a people. No other system of thought is equal to, and thus, while we demand to be heard and for others to listen and understand what we say, we can not give the same courtesy to other systems of thought. We alone possess the answers, and if we don't like what you say, we will not let you say it... sound like any other group you have heard of?
• When is the next AU dems speaker coming? I would like to organize a protest of the event. Since tonight's speaker was unable to have a question and answer section, I think we should make sure that the next speaker that you all agree with should get the same treatment.
• When Hitler didn't like what others had to say, he also silenced them. He may not have used screaming and protesting, but his methods were just as successful.
• Congratulations protesters. You successfully managed to prove that hypocrisy is found on both sides. I guess it is true, if you don't like what someone is saying, instead of trying to understand or make a clear case in opposition, it is better to silence them and pretend that your opinions are the only ones that are relevant.
• I have never been so ashamed of being a liberal student at American University. Those on both sides of the issue wanted to have the ability to discuss with the speaker, but instead of posing questions and forcing the speaker to explain the position, we chose to scream over them instead. This was so childish and hypocritical. I can't even believe that this happened at AU.
• You're just jealous that you don't get a big-little week.
• @800 calories/day: You're probably gaining weight because 800 calories is putting your body into starvation mode. What types of food are making up those 800 calories? Do you exercise?

• @800 calories a day: This is not healthy. Losing weight is all about getting your metabolism going. This few calories actually puts your body into starvation mode. Instead eat like 2,000+ a day in wholesome meals and snacks throughout the day plus exercise.

• Can someone do a study about the advantages members of SG get over everyone else. We all pay the same student activity fee every year but some people definitely get more benefits than the rest of us. They constantly throw away our money on themselves. Just look at the proportion of SG members to the rest of us tonight at Founders Day. Why cant we all take part in it. #AuditTheSG
