For the past couple months, a Twitter account under the name FakeNeil_Kerwin has been posting hilarious tweets about the daily thoughts and actions of AU’s president. The student, who remains anonymous, often uses hashtags like #whitecollegepresidentproblems and #totalpresidentmove, in addition to the occasional #kerwinning. The account already has 635 followers, and considering how funny the tweets are, the number is only going to climb higher.
In a Q&A with the Eagle, Fake Neil talks about some of his favorite things, in addition to what it’s like being the president of American University.

Eagle: Where’s your favorite place to chill at AU?
FNK: I like to hang out in the Tav, mainly because I love tenders. Although, I spend a fair amount of time in the McKinley basement — best bathrooms.
Eagle: Any big summer plans?
FNK: I currently have an internship with Pretty Boy Promotions so that takes up a lot of time. Make sure you say Neil at the door every Tuesday night at Current. Also I’m the president of the university, so I have to do that I guess.
Eagle: What was your favorite thing about attending AU as a student?
FNK: The AU portal — this new myau portal sucks a big wonk.
Eagle: Who are some people you look up to?
FNK: I don’t look up to anyone, rather, I only look in the mirror. So to answer your question, I look up to me.
Eagle: How do you like to start your day?
FNK: Shower beer. Write posts about people on LikeALittle. That’s basically what I do everyday, really.
Eagle: Favorite song?
FNK: Anything On A Sensual Note sings. They are so dreamy.
Eagle: Tell me something no one knows about you.
FNK: I didn’t want any of you to be accepted here.
Eagle: What kind of wonk are you?
FNK: Biddywonk.
Eagle: Favorite place to party in the District?
FNK: Since Sloppy Guaps isn’t really around anymore, the Berks.

FNK: Biddies. Biddies love Presidents.
Eagle: Worst thing about being President of AU?
FNK: Nothing, I’m the mother wonking President of AU. As long as I don’t launder any money like the last dude I can ride this golden parachute to retirement. The hippies suck too though.
