INFO: C'est Chic!, D.C.'s French Film Festival, will be showing prominent films in new French cinema. "Lagerfeld Confidential," a documentary on Karl Lagerfeld and his position as one of the last great fashion icons, and "Priceless," a poor-boy-meets-rich-girl-and-pretends-to-be-rich-until-she-finds-out love story, will be screened Thursday. More info is available at cestchic.org.

Friday, Nov. 2 Morrissey 8 p.m., tickets $34 to $64 WHERE: D.A.R. Constitution Hall, 18th and C streets N.W. INFO: Sounding suspiciously like that guy from The Smiths, Steven Patrick Morrissey of Manchester, England will surely delight concertgoers with a mix of old and new music. Psych, it is that guy from The Smiths! His last album, "Ringleader of the Tormentors," was released in spring 2006. We only hope Morrissey's music doesn't make him cry onstage. Tickets are available from ticketmaster.com.

Saturday, Nov. 3 Bike Tour - Unexplained Tales of the City: Truth is Always More Fascinating than Fiction 1-4 p.m., free WHERE: Meet at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial Plaza INFO: It turns out that presidents are just like the rest of us. Saturday's bike tour of downtown D.C. is sure to fill your heads with knowledge about which U.S. president had dysentery, where Lincoln wrote the Gettysburg Address and other fun facts. Participants must have their own bikes, helmets and water. Call 202-438-4391 for more information.

Sunday, Nov. 4 The Washington Balalaika Society: Experience the Exotic and Familiar 4 p.m., $25 WHERE: American University's Harold and Sylvia Greenberg Theater INFO: The Washington Balalaika Society is an orchestra in the Russian tradition that is composed almost entirely of folk instruments like the balalaika, domra, bayan and gusli. It is currently the largest such orchestra outside of Russia, and that sounds like the perfect reason to attend. For those unwilling to shell out $25, you can hear the society on WAMU's Metro Connection this Friday at 1 p.m. Tickets available at www.tix.com.

Monday, Nov. 5 Exhibition Opening: Daring Dames: A Century of Photographs of Adventurous Women 1860-1960 By appointment only, free WHERE: The Society of Women Geographers, 415 East Capitol St. S.E. INFO: According to the Society of Women Geographers, these never-before-seen photographs feature women who have pushed physical and social boundaries in their lifetimes. The photographs are drawn from the curators' unique archive and depict "adventurers, entertainers, artists, amazons, marksmen, baseball players, bullfighters, lion tamers, suffragettes, pilots and spies" to speak to women's achievements and identity. Call 202-546-9228 to schedule an appointment.

Tuesday, Nov. 6 Flip Orley: America's Premier Comic Hypnotist 8:30 p.m., $15 WHERE: D.C. Improv Comedy Club, 1140 Connecticut Ave. N.W.
