Sports brief: Men's soccer shut out at Penn

The AU men's soccer fell, 2-0, at Penn Wednesday in its last non-conference match of the season.

The Eagles (5-9-1) were outshot, 13-6. Junior midfielder Garth Juckem led AU with five shots

Penn (9-3-1) scored first in the seventh minutewhen Derek Hobson scored an unassisted goal. The Quakers struck again in the 19th minute as John Rhodes converted a pass from Alex Grendi into the insurance goal .

Penn goalkeeper Dan Cepero stopped two AU shots for his eighth shutout of the season.

AU's regular-season finale comes Saturday in a home match against Army. The Eagles are 4-2-0 in the Patriot League and can clinch home turf in the Patriot League tournament with a win. The last-place Black Knights are 1-5 in the PL.
