Hit List

1. www.pheer.com When religiously checking the Black Cat and 9:30 club websites gets a little too tiresome, check this out. It lists all music shows in the Va./Md./D.C. metro area, covering everything from your everyday high school hardcore band to the next big deal in town. Very helpful, and with acts with names like "Lord of the Yum Yum" and "Cattle Decapitation," it has the potential to provide hours of fun, with or without leaving your dorm.

2. "Candy Shop" This song can be likened to R. Kelly's "Ignition (Remix)" in greatness and staying power. Hearing the lyrics provokes wonder, amazement, and questions like, "Is that innuendo?" Or, is Fiddy's "Candy shop" a round bed with satin sheets, his tour bus or what lies beneath the confines of his bulletproof underpants? Let the constant radio airplay do its job in helping decipher the meaning behind this sweet treat. The only thing that would make this better is if he spelled it "shoppe."

3. Celeb Lovechild? Rumors were spread around sources like Star Magazine this week that starlet Demi Moore was carrying boyfriend Ashton Kutcher's baby. This controversy and invasion of privacy is just the type of thing we Eagle writers love. That poor tyke's life would be a Truman Show-esque episode of "Punk'd." Please reproduce so that we can have a new pastime.

4. DIY Art Space The DeaDCity Punk Art and Music collective brings D.C.'s punk/DIY community a plethora of visual arts showcased for free, along with refreshments and snacks until March 31. Go indulge your inner independent artist.

5. Moving Mulch The Scene Staff wondered in amazement at the spontaneous movement of the huge pile of mulch, or "turd pile where all of our secrets are kept" that used to grace the spot of quad by the library. It somehow magically picked up and moved in front of Battelle. Where does this dirt pile get its magical powers?
