Bar Brief: Tom Tom

Tom Tom 2335 18th St. NW Metro: Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan

C+

Tom Tom is a decent place for a beer and music, but not a great place to hang out and play video games. Many people line up Thursdays to get inside, because you can buy eight drinks for just $10.

The place is divided up into three areas; one of them is located upstairs. It looks like a spacious apartment complete with couches, loveseats and a table. The Super Nintendo Entertainment System is located there.

SNES is considered ancient compared to systems like XBox, Playstation2 and Nintendo 64, but for anyone who's still into old-school video games, this bar is for you. It has classic games, including Super Mario Kart and Donkey Kong Country, and it even has the much larger NES cartridges.

The downstairs level has white brick walls and a very large dance floor. Those who aren't into that will be impressed by the outdoor porch on the third floor, which offers a view of Adams Morgan.

Section 202 hosts Connor Sturniolo and Gabrielle McNamee are joined by fellow Eagle staff member and phenomenal sports photographer, Josh Markowitz. Follow along as they discuss the United Football League and the benefits it provides for the world of professional football.
