President George W. Bush announced a plan to land Americans on the moon by 2020 on Jan. 14, and while this year's election may affect that proposal, AU physics professor Richard Berendzen, whose areas of expertise include astronomy and NASA, has no doubt that travel to Mars and the moon will become reality relatively soon.
The AU Wrestling team seized its first team-win of the season at Bender Arena on Monday night, dominating Wagner throughout in a 30-12 victory.
An Oscar nomination has a tremendous effect on a film. A nomination means a prolonged theatrical run and a win means even more revenue. This year, the nominations, announced last Tuesday, have not only affected the films' theatrical lives, but also their DVD releases.

Effective in Fall 2004, American University will no longer accept credit from the University of Pittsburgh's Semester at Sea. Some students have expressed concern, arguing that shipboard learning while traveling around the world is an experience they will remember all their lives. The question for us, however, is not that students have found the program rewarding but whether its format and goals are right for American University. AU's change in policy supports our commitment to study abroad programs that enhance a student's in-depth understanding of another country and its culture.
