Women’s basketball seniors Lee and LeMaster have high hopes for their second seasons at AU

Like many college basketball teams across the country, the American University women’s basketball team utilizes the NCAA transfer portal to replace departing players and add depth to the team. The portal is teeming with eligible players seeking a new home after leaving their previous programs. This was the case for AU seniors Marisa Lee and Anna LeMaster, who joined the team before the 2022-23 season as juniors. Lee transferred from the University of Hartford, and LeMaster transferred from the University of Dayton.


Men’s basketball trends upwards with second home victory against NJIT

The American University men’s basketball team (4-3) defeated the New Jersey Institute of Technology (1-4) 87-73 for their second home victory of the season on Nov. 16 in Bender Arena. After back-to-back losses at Villanova and William & Mary, the Eagles turned things around at home with a 78-58 win against Siena on Nov. 13 and Nov. 16’s triumphant team performance.

Alumni and students connect at Multicultural Alumni Reunion

American University's Multicultural Alumni Reunion brought together alumni and students for a weekend of music, discussions and networking. The art and community-focused weekend, which also took place over Family Weekend, was organized by multiple alumni groups, including the Black Alumni Alliance, the Latino Alumni Alliance and the Asian and Pacific Islander Alumni Network.
