President Sylvia Burwell announced in an email on Monday that the University will move forward with full residential options in the fall, with the on-campus housing room selection process beginning next week.

So, Arrington decided to turn her casual conversations into a web series — “Everyone’s Gay: A Look into Queer History.”

Junior Stephen Okonkwo sat in the back of his lecture hall during midterm season, with a pen in hand. Instead of taking notes, he was writing song lyrics. Later, he recalled finishing up his midterm while sitting on a train to record at a studio in New York City.
During Black History Month, the Life section published a series of stories highlighting various forms of African and African American art in Washington, D.C.
Echosmith, who rose to popularity in 2013 after the release of their hit “Cool Kids,” is still exploring their love of music as a family, this time on tour with their new album, “Lonely Generation.” The tour debuted at the 9:30 Club in Washington on Feb. 12.
After a semester of perfecting their capstone performances, AU’s theater program seniors presented “Eight Minutes,” a series of pieces in response to Carl Sagan’s book, “Cosmos” from Dec. 5 to Dec. 7.
The annual a cappella preview concert took place in the Kay Spiritual Life Center on Saturday, featuring On a Sensual Note, Pitches Be Trippin’, Dime a Dozen and Treble in Paradise. Members of each group also introduced TenLi Tunes, AU’s newest a cappella group.
Freshmen Saumya Mangalick and Marissa Proto are making waves in the AU community through their start-up beauty company, Viale. They became involved in the American University Center for Innovation after being accepted into the University’s Incubator program.
Kweendom, a New York-based LGBT comedy show created by writer and performer Bobby Hankinson, will kick off its first tour at the Black Cat in D.C. on June 6 at 7:30 p.m.
Ifedayo Balogun, a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, didn’t feel confident in the weight room at first. She said that she felt intimidated by confident gym-goers who knew exactly how to navigate the room.
