Sunday morning at 7 a.m. is frightfully early for most people. But that’s when the 2011 annual Walk for Psoriasis began Sept. 25 at Freedom Plaza, and that’s when the AU women’s soccer team showed up.
It was just Todd West’s second year as a Division I head coach. His men’s soccer team faced a brutal schedule. Having moved from the Colonial Athletic Association in 2000 to the Patriot League in 2001, West’s Eagles were now facing unfamiliar competition to go along with a strong non-conference schedule.
It was a rough weekend for the Eagles, as two hard-fought men’s soccer games both ended in losses with the conference schedule getting underway next week.
