Welcome

Introducing The Scene’s newest feature: our very own blog.

Here at The Scene, we’re always looking to provide the widest range of cultural coverage possible. To that end, you’re reading the first post on our new blog.

Yes, we know, it’s not 2007 anymore. But this blog will be a gateway to bigger and better things for The Scene. It will give us an opportunity to cover the pop culture that you care about at the pace you read and with the sophistication and intelligence you crave. We’ll use the blog for our movie reviews and coverage of entertainment on a national level, including awards shows. And we’ll use it to add new writers and voices, giving everyone at AU the opportunity to discuss their pop culture passions.

But this blog will be a team effort, and our readers are part of the team. Let us know what you want to see from The Scene’s blog, and we’ll do our best to provide it. Longer posts? Shorter posts? List-icles? Playlists? GIFs? If these features will keep you engaged, or you’d rather see more of one and less of another, let us know.

In the meantime, we’ll hit the ground running with coverage of this Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards and this Monday’s Emmy Awards. Beyond that, it’s your Scene, and we’re just writing about it.
