Dulcé Sloan of 'The Daily Show' to kick off SUB Madness

Comedian Dulcé Sloan will be coming to AU on March 24 as part of SUB Madness.

The Student Union Board and Women’s Initiative will kick off their new SUB Madness series by hosting comedian Dulcé Sloan on March 24, SUB announced Monday. Sloan is the newest correspondent for “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.” She can also be seen on “Greatest Ever” and “Comedy Knock-Out” on truTV.

Sloan, an African-American comedian known for her signature sass and confidence, has been honored for her work by the likes of Rolling Stone, which named her in its list called “10 Comedians You Need To Know.” She was also recognized by TimeOutLA as a 2017 Comedian To Watch, the 2016 NBC Stand Up Showcase Winner, a Montreal Just For Laughs New Face and as a Comedian to Watch on “The Steve Harvey Show.”

Sloan’s appearance is the first of three in the SUB Madness series that is set for March 24, March 30 and April 7. For the first time ever, SUB will have three events for the next three consecutive weekends. SUB will announce future guests at later dates.

The event will take place in the Tavern. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free with an AU ID.
