A man was stabbed by a woman in a motorized wheelchair at 3:29 p.m. outside of the Tenleytown-AU Metro Station today.

The incident happened by the station exit next to Panera Bread, where the two were seen shouting in disagreement, according to a Sears employees who witnessed the arrest. Panera employees working at 5:30 p.m. had not seen the incident.

The Sears employee said the stabbing occurred during a fight between the man and the woman. The police arrived and arrested the woman shortly after the incident, he said.

The man was transported to an area hospital as he was still-conscious and breathing. Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson Sean Hickman said he could not name the specific hospital for privacy reasons.

Hickman said there was no other information available at the time of a 6:45 p.m. call.
