Here are the fiscal year 2010 fall club allocations, as released by the American University Club Council. In all, $86,596 has been allocated to over 110 clubs. More than 40 clubs did not receive any allocation.
This was the first year the budget hearings were not mandatory. In the past, all clubs were required to appear before the AUCC. This year, about 20 percent of clubs elected to have the hearings, said AUCC Vice Chairman Eli Engelbourg.
Clubs are able to appeal their allocations. Appeal forms will be available on Monday and appeal hearings are Saturday. During the hearings, the clubs are able to tell the AUCC why they believe they should be allocated more money.
With the increase in enrollment at AU, the AUCC was able to allocate about $20,000 more this year than last year. All of this extra money was part of the fall allocations.
Certain clubs are new this year and will show a zero allocation in this column.
