Burst pipe causes stinky situation for Student Government

Explosion reeks of disaster

Four Student Government officers found themselves completely covered with fecal matter and sewage after a pipe burst over the SG's Mary Graydon Center offices on Sunday evening, according to Georgio Thomson, MGC's facilities manager.

SG President Voe Jidulich was playing Scrabulous on his computer when the pipe burst.

"I was just about to get a 40-point word," he said. "Before I knew it, I was covered in crap."

Class of 2010 Senator Candace McNasty said she was dancing in her office when she noticed a bad smell.

"It was like that nursery rhyme: 'When you're doing a funky dance, and you see mud on your pants, diarrhea cha cha cha, diarrhea cha cha cha,'" she said.

Comedian and former Full House star Bob Saget was giving a speech on the same floor when the pipe burst.

""Oh, my God," he said. "Shit everywhere. There's shit everywhere! Dammit! There's shit on the windows! Oh, my God! My house is full of shit! Someone shit everywhere! Look what he did! He shit all over the walls! There's shit everywhere!"

A group of Aramark workers arrived minutes after the pipe explosion. However, upon seeing the fecal mess, they all quit, according to witnesses.

Jiminy Splitz, a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, said he felt very little sympathy for the Student Government.

"I lived in the Letts terrace last year," he said. "Those SG nerds don't know crap the way I know crap."

One senator who asked to remain anonymous said the pipe probably burst because of secondhand smoke.

"The smoking bill would prevent such incidents from occurring," he said. "Secondhand smoke weakens pipes"
