Campus Brief: School plans week to promote unity

The School of Communication's "SOC Week" kicks off today and includes activities ranging from forums to food. The week is an effort to bring members of the school together, said Laurie Bernstein, president of the SOC undergraduate council, which helped organize the event. "SOC is kind of like a school divided by different majors," she said. "We want to bring the school closer for unity ... and to try to get a community feeling." The week begins with ice cream sundaes in the Tavern at 8 p.m. on Monday. Tuesday's event, an American Forum called "Does Anyone Still Believe in the First Amendment?" starts at 9 p.m. in Mary Graydon Center rooms 2-4. Pizza will be served in the Letts Game Room at 9 p.m. Wednesday. Thursday features a "Study Break with Starbucks and Snacks" in the lobbies of Letts and Anderson at 9 p.m. On Friday, the "Fiesta on the Quad" will kick off the Reel Journalism film festival at 5:30 p.m. Free tickets to the film festival will be given away.

In this grand finale, hosts Sydney Hsu and Sara Winick say their goodbyes and give updated lists of their current favorite shows. Listen along and compare the new lists to those from the very first episode!

To all the loyal listeners, it has been a great run, but all good things must come to an end. However, just like some of your favorite TV shows, a second season is never truly out of the question.
