It was a perfect ending to a perfect regular season for the Field Hockey team, as they end the regular season with an undefeated record in the Patriot League and a 13-4 record overall.

Czech football: More than an American sporting event

As columnist Dan Zak tell us, "It figures that the Czech football league is named the Gambrinus Liga. Gambrinus is one of the top three brews in Prague, next to Pilsner Urquell and Staropramen. Gambrinus is the less bitter, lighter cousin of Pilsner. Strange then, that at a football match between Sparta (a northern neighborhood of Prague) and Brno (a city in the south of the Czech Republic), not a single spectator drank beer."

While concerns have been raised about the new field nationwide, it has found its way onto approximately 30 U.S. campuses.

Women's soccer earns first PL season title

In the last regular season game for seniors on Reeves Field, midfielder Anabel Jimenez, defender Jillian Savani and 'keeper Lauren Wohl were honored for their contributions Sunday. But it was sophomore midfielder Simone Konig who led the Eagles to a 2-1 title-clinching win over Army.

Thursday Debate: Students must take personal responsibility

AU's new drug policy, which notifies parents of students for anything from a minor infraction to major abuse of illegal drugs, is a flawed policy. The administration appears to recognize the maturity level of its students in some areas of campus life -University bureaucrats aren't calling parents when their son or daughter is doing poorly in a class or doesn't attend enough classes. But such is not the case when it comes to drug or alcohol use.

Thursday Debate: Parents must know about abuse

American University has a legitimate interest in immediately dealing with students who demonstrate a tendency to engage in drug-related behavior. This means taking action against those students after their first offense, so there is some sort of deterrent to those students committing a second offense.
