Indie pop band Glass Animals will perform at Echostage on Sept. 25. The Oxford-based band is touring in support of its new album “How To Be A Human Being,” which was released on August 26 to critical acclaim. Following the success of Glass Animals’ lush debut “Zaba” in 2014, expectations were high for the band’s second album.

Joining a yacht club has never been easier (if by yacht club it’s actually the group of fans of an 18-year-old rapper from Atlanta and by join it’s actually learning to embrace his idiosyncrasies). Lil Yachty, aka Darnell Boat, aka red braided Yeezy Season 3 model, aka King of the Teens, continued his rise by dropping his second mixtape of 2016, aptly named “Summer Songs 2.” For those new to the Lil Yachty movement, he is a teenage rapper who doesn’t actually consider himself one, who has developed a significant following over the past year.

Chance’s creative “Coloring Book” marks a vivid new page in rap

Chance The Rapper begins his third official mixtape, “Coloring Book,” right where he left listeners with his 2013 breakthrough release, “Acid Rap.” As soulful horns fill the first track on Chance’s highly-anticipated 2016 entry, the MC out of Chicago’s South Side proudly sings, “and we back, and we back,” the same words he used to kick off his “Good Ass Intro” on “Acid Rap.” Chance certainly follows through with that statement, delivering a creative, eclectic and optimistic effort that marks his first solo-billed mixtape in three years. Each and every Chance release is a collaborative, collective effort, and “Coloring Book” is no less.
