With the cost of tuition and school fees around $50,000, it’s no secret that AU is an expensive university. In 2011, Business Insider ranked AU the second costliest university in the country even after factoring in financial aid. For many students this is the source of at least some anxiety during their time here.

A new bronze bust of Leo Tolstoy is on its way to Bender Library, according to the Initiative for Russian Culture Executive Director Anton Fedyashin. The bust will be displayed on the third floor in a glass case with a camera trained on it for security purposes.

AU Student Government and other campus organizations must pay the Department of Athletics a $1,000 space reservation fee when working with outside organizations to use Bender Arena for events, according to Jordan Tobin, the director of facilities and operations for athletics. Labor and equipment costs are not included in that figure.

A bathroom stall on the Tenley Campus was set on fire on March 31 around 10 p.m., in what the AU Department of Public Safety called a “malicious burning.” No injuries were reported.
