In the past year, we have seen hurricanes and earthquakes take the lives of people from all over the world. What significant change in policy has the U.S. made regarding these ever increasing concerns? The answer: pulling out of the Paris Climate Agreement, defunding federal programs for climate regulations and claiming science is fake.

First things first: Climate change is real! It has always astonished me how many people still believe climate change is a hoax fabricated by the government in an attempt to raise taxes and expand their power. As if the government created hurricanes -- which destroyed property, hurt the economies of the areas affected, and took lives -- all for the sole purpose of tricking people into thinking that the environment is in danger and needs to be taken care of.


No one is talking about the traumatic impact of recent hurricanes on Latin America

These past few weeks have been hard -- not only on the American people, but many of our Latin American neighbors. One after another, we have seen hurricanes come and take away loved ones, homes and livelihoods. But this isn’t the end. We will see more. So, we need to be prepared for what’s to come.


Why AU should adopt public charging stations

Schools have always claimed that their first priority is to ensure that students are given the adequate resources to succeed in all aspects of life. Since much of student success in school involves some sort of technology, schools need to ensure that they are providing enough possibilities for students who depend on their laptops and phones to use them for long hours. Students now depend on their technology to take notes, stay organized, study, and contact their teachers among other things. For this reason, it is important that technology is constantly charged throughout the day for extensive use.
