EcoSense, AU look to remove bottled water from campus

When Matthew Stewart applied to AU he wanted to know more about the university than just what was said on the tour. He utilized AU’s Spectrum program through the GLBTA Resource Center to gain an insider’s perspective on what it is like to be an LGBT student on campus.
Lauren Hickey was on her way to babysit in Chevy Chase when she left her wallet and keys on an N4 bus. The freshman in the School of Public Affairs called the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority warehouse several times before they were able to locate her lost items. When she picked up her wallet, her ID, credit card, debit card and license were all still there. However, her cash and SmarTrip had been stolen. Now, when she leaves the bus she checks the seat.
AU is administering the 2010 National Survey for Student Engagement to freshmen and second semester seniors.
AU received 16,800 applications for admission in the fall 2010 semester, an increase of 12 percent from last year, according to Greg Grauman, acting director of the Office of Admissions.
