Women’s soccer falls to Georgetown

The AU women’s soccer team dropped its first game of the season Sunday, falling 4-0 on the road to the Georgetown Hoyas.

Samantha Baker, Jessica Clinton, Alexa St. Martin and Daphne Corboz each tallied one goal for the Hoyas (2-0), who opened the season ranked No. 23 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Preseason Poll. The Eagles (1-1) struggled to put together any offensive attack throughout the game, recording no shots in the first half and one on the afternoon.
