Nolasco-C

Nationals: (49-65)

Bernadina-CF
Desmond-SS
Dunn-1B
Zimmerman-3B
Morse-RF
Kennedy-2B
Rodriguez-C
Harris-LF
Hernandez-P

Pitching matchups: Livan Hernandez (8-7, 3.03 ERA) vs. Ricky Nolasco(12-8, 4.57 ERA)

Update Before the game, Jim Riggleman said that he wanted to give Willingham an extra day off and that he will play tomorrow. Seems like an injury that’s been kind of nagging him this season.

Update 9:03 After a 1 hour and 57 minute rain delay, the Nats and Marlins are on. This series has a way of making games worse and worse, maybe Nats can reward the fans who stuck around with a victory.

Update 9:36 Marlins rookie Mike Stanton has destroyed the Nationals this series. In the second inning he hit what was originally ruled a triple, then it was overturned by the umps (correctly) to a home run. 2-0 Marlins lead.

Update 10:35 Since an RBI single from Cody Ross in the third things have been quiet. The Nationals have not been able to get anything going against Nolasco as they’ve only gotten three hits off him through four innings. Livo has done well through five especially compared to Nationals’ starters the last few nights.

Update 11:16 Livo is done for the evening and he gave the Nats a chance to win tonight, the offense just hasn’t been there. Final pitching line to go up in a bit.

Update 11:28 Valiant effort on the part of Hernadez, but he cannot get the win tonight. Here’s his final line: 6.1 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 4 BB, 3 K
