Nationals Trade Matt Capps

By Sam Lindauer

The Washington Nationals have traded closer Matt Capps and cash to the Minnesota Twins for minor leaguers Wilson Ramos (Catcher) and Jon Testa (LHP). Capps was the sole All-Star on the Nationals and has saved 26 games this season, including tonight’s 5-3 win. Ramos is apparently a highly touted prospect but is blocked, of course, by Joe Mauer who I’ve heard is pretty good. Check back tomorrow for a column on the trade and what it means the to Nats future.
