Federal Work-Study Job Fair
12:00 - 4:00 p.m., Bender Arena
Students can earn $6.60 to $10 per hour by using their Federal Work-Study funds, either on campus or off. Come learn about a variety of available jobs.

Saturday, Sept. 3

Target Store Runs
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Departing from the Tunnel
Decorate your room with necessities and niceties from Target. Vans will depart from the Tunnel (to Target) at 10:00 a.m., noon and 2:00 p.m. Vans will depart from Target to return to campus at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Contact AUTO at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) by Tuesday, Aug. 30 to reserve a spot.

Women’s Initiative First Meeting

Women’s Initiative works to make AU a safer, more comfortable, helpful and empowering place for women. Come learn about the iniative and how to get involved.

 

Tuesday, Sept. 6

90th Washington Asia Forum: Ambassador Jeffrey Bader
2:00 p.m., School of International Service Lounge
During a 27-year career as a foreign service officer, Ambassador Bader served in the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Namibia, Zambia, Congo, the United States Mission to the United Nations and Washington, D.C. Bader is currently director of the Brookings China Initiative.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 7

Student Involvement Fair
11:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., the Quad
Representatives from dozens of student clubs will offer information about their organizations.

D.C. Reads Information Session
5:30 - 6:30 p.m., Mary Graydon Center, room 273
Become a D.C. Reads tutor and empower a child through reading. Discover different communities, earn work-study money and meet other students while making a difference in the life of a child.
