Staff Editorial: Preparing for the future

The university's upcoming strategic plan needs to be more specific than its predecessor.

We have mixed emotions regarding the university's creation of a new strategic plan. The proposal - which is currently more a bunch of ideas than a written, specific policy - is likely to become the long awaited replacement to former President Ben Ladner's November 2001 15 Point Plan. Eagle endorsements are misguided

I am deeply saddened by your endorsement of Mr. Andrew Woods. While I respect Mr. Woods, I believe your staff has made the wrong decision. This obviously will not be the first time The Eagle has taken the wrong side in SG elections. After all, three of your endorsements last year (for VP, secretary and comptroller) did not carry out the entirety of their terms. (continue reading)

In the "Bustin' Rhymes" feature pictures, King Poetic was identified as Dan Franklin. His name is actually Drew Franklin. Also contrary to the cutline, DJ Phanatic spun for all of the musicians. In "Bill proposes tax forms should substitute for portions of FAFSA," Frankie Solomon was misidentified as male. (continue reading)
