Cheryl Saferstein, a sophomore in the School of International Service and president of the Jewish Student Association, lights candles in the North Side Activities Room in McDowell Hall Wednesday night. It was the second night of the eight-night celebration. Activities are planned for the next six nights of the Jewish holiday, including a celebration tonight in the Game and Recreation Center in Letts Hall.
