AU cyclists Kevin Eng (left), a sophomore, and senior Phillip Bradley helped to power the green energy local band showcase in the Tavern on Saturday night. The event was sponsored by Eco-Sense, SUB, Dinosaurs Against Fossil Fuels, AU Cycling and Sigma Chi. The event used generators charged by bicycles to power the musical equipment. Of the four bands that played the event, twentytwelve and Ghosts of Guernica are made up of AU students. Members of the cycling team pedaled throughout the night to provide power and raise awareness about green energy alternatives.
