Japanese Cinema and the Changing Family

Film scholar and Freer-Sackler Galleries film programmer, Tom Vick, will discuss how Japanese cinema reflected the nation's changing culture throughout the 20th century. Using film clips and lecture, Vick will trace the changes Japanese cinema experienced from the 1930s to today.

Celebrate spring's arrival with this annual flower market at the National Cathedral. This year's theme is "A Salute to Canada," and will feature venders selling a variety of plants, flowers and herbs, in addition to food and boutique venders. There will also be an authentic carousel from the 1890s and a Cathedral tower climb, which will be held both days.
