Glenn wins first national championship for AU in 40 years

Redshirt junior Josh Glenn came into the NCAA wrestling tournament with a second seed, and after pinning both of his opponents in the quarter and semifinals beat Kurt Backs from Iowa State to win the tournament in the 197-pound weight class. Glenn beat Backes in overtime with a score of 6-4 to give him his 24th straight victory. He finished the season with 91 wins.
