The D.C. Independent Film Festival is an award-winning festival that showcases world-premiere films, award-winning features, shorts, animation and documentaries by local, national and international filmmakers. This year, the DCIFF features an Independent Music Festival in conjunction with the film festival featuring bands and DJs every night. The music festival closes on March 11 with a special appearance by Keifer Sutherland and the band Rocco DeLucca and the Burden.

"An Evening with Ellington"

"An Evening with Ellington" is part of the "Jazz in Our Time" series of jazz events at the Kennedy Center lasting until March 10. "An Evening with Ellington" includes performances by saxophonist Davey Yarborough, The Duke Ellington School of the Arts Jazz Orchestra and members of the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra. This event is free and open to the public.
