In a joint effort with Campus Climate Challenge, a North American organization of colleges that promote environmental groups, Eco-Sense will hold a week of action to inform students of important environmental issues, according to a club press release.

"At American University, we have already held a successful student referendum to move the university towards wind-generated energy," Eco-Sense President Claire Roby, a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, said in the press release. "But that's not enough. We are joining with students from around the country during the week of action to demand real solutions to stop global warming."

Today, Eco-Sense's week of activities will end with a demonstration of the human impact on sea level rise as a result of climate change on the quad, according to the press release.

AU's week of action events are intended to raise student awareness of the global climate challenge and demonstrate to Congress the importance of legislative reform to today's youth.
