The Eagle Newspaper Fund

The Eagle Newspaper Fund was established by The Eagle’s board of directors, made up of current Eagle members and alumni as a way to support the efforts of American University’s student newspaper.

Since 1925, The Eagle has served as the student voice at AU, breaking news and reporting stories that are important to the campus community. In addition, The Eagle has served as a laboratory for young reporters, editors, photographers, designers, cartoonists, and business managers for decades.

The goal of the Eagle Newspaper Fund is to create an endowment to maintain The Eagle’s important role in the campus community. In creating this endowment, The Eagle’s board of directors hopes to diversify The Eagle’s revenue to allow them to grow and explore the growing opportunities of online and mobile journalism.

To donate, simply select “The Eagle Newspaper Fund” and AU’s Campus Life division to make a gift online at http://giving.american.edu/. Any amount would help and your gift would be a tax-deductible donation to the university.
